We are just amazed at how big Sydney is getting! :) We expect that she will be at least nine pounds at her weight check next week! She has been eating at least four ounces each feeding, often five, and I cannot keep up with her needs, sadly, so I have stopped breastfeeding. I still pump, though, for now, and just want to give her what I can. Do you see the heart-shaped birthmark under her eye? It is one of three hemangiomas on her, one of which almost covers her entire left butt cheek and is ulcerated. After three checks by our pediatrician, we were referred to a dermatologist to get it treated, because the ulcer has doubled and then some in size in three weeks. She is going to have laser treatments to help it, starting next week, four or five times at four week intervals in-between. Please keep this sweet girl in your prayers for all of this to go well. She is irritated now when she needs a diaper change, so we can tell the ulcer is bothering her. Thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers for us!!!! :)
